The volcano called La Corona is found in a natural area of 1797,2 hectares and was declared natural space of the Canaries on June 19 th 1987. Situated in the municipality of Haria, this volcano is situated at an altitude of 600 metres, and the lava mats extensions that go from the mountain base to the coast form a geomorphologic unity of great interest, offering an impressive beautiful landscape. Tabaiba is the plant that you find everywhere in this region, it is a typical plant of the Canaries, though we can observe a great amount of flora biodiversity there. The cultivable areas in this spot have been adequate by the human hand, cultivating on terraces is the result of that. This lot of great beauty is perfectly integrated in a landscape that is as singular as strange.
In this space is found the site of Los Jameos del Agua and La Cueva de los Lagos, both caves with salt-water lakes.
